In certain universities jee is not compulsory, for example, LPU conducts its own examination called LPUNEST, you have to qualify LPUNEST exam to confirm a seat in B.Tech courses.

Hi there, LPU gives due weightage to JEE score however, the university conducts its own admission test as well.

Some of the good engineering institutes are  IITs, BITs, PEC, VIT, LPU and more.I am not pretty sure about what is being offered in the institutes except LPUIn order to take admission in your desired programme, you need to meet the eligibility norms.On inquiring for one of my friend from the counsellors of LPU I came to know that those who have 60% in 10+2 with (English , Physics & Mathematics ) will have to appear in LPUNEST whereas those who have scored 90% in +2 or scored 90 percentile in JEE Mains are exempted from LPUNEST. University is taking Remotely Online proctored test from home considering the scenario of COVID-19.LPUNEST serves two purposes i.e eligibility and scholarship. Like many other exams it is also in very simple online nomenclature and will be MCQ format. The subjects for preparing for LPUNEST exam is based on what you have studied in your previous qualification, such as Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology and English.I also came to know that LPU promotes following scholarship:1.On the basis of marks in previous class2.LPU conducts Lovely professional university national entrance and scholarship test (LPUNEST) on the basis of which student can enhance their scholarship. Dear Aspirant, For admission in BE, there is no compulsion to give JEE exams. There are only few good universities such as LPU who have their own test for admission in BE programs.  LPU is an international university of India with top placements and world class infrastructure. As per the latest NIRF-2020 ranking, LPU is amongst the top 100 institutes of India due to best academics and placements of students. LPU has more than 200 courses and every course has certain eligibility criteria to be fulfilled by a candidate to get admission.
