Dear Student,
There is no compulsion to apply for the convenor quota for MBBS admission. However, if candidates want to apply, they have the provision to choose this option during MBBS admission after NEET 2025 Exam. During the MBBS admission, candidates have the provision to apply under 3 quotas majorly; State Quota, Management Quota, and Convenor Quota.
The convenor quota is a specific number of seats that are controlled by the central government. Candidates need to select the convenor quota exclusively in the application process. However, before applying for a convenor quota for MBBS admission, applicants are advised to go through the eligibility criteria that vary as per each state. As per the general eligibility criteria to apply for MBBS admission under the convenor quota, candidates need to score at least 50th percentile in the NEET UG Exam.
Thank You
