What is the BTech LLB pattern and syllabus for admission at UPES Dehradun?

Dear student,

B.Tech LLB admission at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies is done through the university-level entrance exam of ULSAT. The entrance exam is held online in CBT mode and the question paper contains the following sections: Language Comprehension, Quantitative & Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning, Legal General Knowledge, and Legal Aptitude. 30 questions are asked from each section.

The ULSAT syllabus for B.Tech LLB exam is the same as for other courses. The important topics of each section are listed below:

Language Comprehension - One-word substitution, synonyms, reading comprehension, spellings, idioms, vocabulary, the figure of speech, phrases, legal terms, Sentence formation/ correction, etc.

Quantitative & Numerical Ability - Agreement and Disagreement, Odd-Even Discretion, Series, Mental Ability and Logical/ Mathematical Analysis, Deductive reasoning, Analogies, Blood Relations, Figures and Patterns, etc.

Logical Reasoning - Relationships, Analogies, Syllogism, Logical Sequences, Inferences, Cause and Effect, Statement & Assumption, Premises & Conclusion, etc.

Legal General Knowledge - Events of National and International Importance, Awards & Honours, History, Current Affairs, etc.

Legal Aptitude - Legal Maxims, Indian Constitution, Important Acts and Amendments of the Legislature, Important Supreme Court Judgments, etc.
