Dear student, only those documents which fall under the category of “Only if Applicable” must bear the signature or stamp of the competent authority. Documents which falls in the “Only if Applicable” category are Hyderabad-Karnataka certificate (Article 371), Caste certificate, Rural Study certificate, Kannada Medium certificate and Income certificate must be signed by the competent authority so as to assure the KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority) officials that the claims you are making are not false. There are different gazetted officers for each of these certificates. There is also a 7-year study certificate that has to be signed by the concerned DDPI/BEO. To find out in details about the certificates and documents which have to be submitted during the KCET 2020 counselling process and which certificates require the signature of a concerned gazetted officer, please go through our detailed article - KCET Counselling Documents List.
