List of Documents Required for KCET Counselling Process 2020

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test or KCET counselling processbegins from September 07, 2020, with the document uploading process. The KCET 2020 counselling process will be conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Once the candidates upload all the important documents for the KCET 2020 counselling process as per their rank, the KEA officials will release the choice-filling and counselling dates within a few days. 

As the 2020 KCET counselling documents uploading process is about to begin soon, we thought of preparing a detailed article regarding which are those documents that a candidate must upload during the documents uploading process of KCET counselling 2020. Documents Required During the KCET Counselling Process 2020

Here is the complete list of all the documents that the candidates must submit during the documents uploading procedure of the KCET 2020 counselling process - 

  • A copy of the final submitted online application form for KCET 2020

  • KCET 2020 hall ticket

  • Class Xth/SSLC mark sheet

  • Class XIIth/IInd PUC mark sheet (in case of provisional mark sheet, the candidate must submit the mark sheet which bears the signature of the principal of the institution from where he/she has completed his/her IInd PUC/Class XIIth studies)

  • 7-years study certificate bearing the signature of concerned DDPI/BEO (CBSE/CICSE study certificate holders are exempted from getting their certificates signed by DDPI/BEO)

In addition to the aforementioned certificates and documents, the candidates have to provide the following documents if they fall under the “Only If Applicable” category -

Income Certificate

  • For candidates whose total family annual income is less than INR 8 LPA) issued by the concerned Tehsildar

  • Candidates belonging to the GM, CAT-1, SC and ST categories must obtain separate income certificates

Kannada Medium Certificate

Candidates belonging to the Karnataka state or any other state who have studied in Kannada medium from 1st to 10th standard. The certificate should be issued by the Head of the Educational Institution and countersigned by the respective DDPI/BEO

Rural Study Certificate

Candidates who have spent at least 10 full academic years (1 to 10) from any recognised Rural Educational Institution have to submit a certificate issued by the Head of the Educational Institution and countersigned by the respective DDPI/BEO. Such candidates also have to submit an income certificate issued by the concerned Tehsildar

Case Certificate

Reserved category candidates such as SC, ST and OBC (Category 1) candidates have to submit their respective caste certificates issued by the concerned Jurisdictional Tehsildar.  Such candidates also have to submit an income certificate to avail the benefits of tuition fee waiver scheme and various Scholarships

Hyderabad-Karnataka Certificate (Article 371)

Candidates applying in the KCET counselling process through the Hyderabad-Karnataka (Article 371) reservation policy must submit all the important documents issued by the concerned Assistant Commissioner

Parent’s study certificate / Parent’s Hometown certificate / Parent’s Domicile certificate / Parent’s Employment certificate / Parent’s Cumulative Record / Parent’s Marks Card, etc., for the candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats based on the domicile/study/employment of the parent.

Duly sworn in Affidavit of the candidate who claims eligibility under Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses C and D. (Regarding Mother Tongue)

IDENTITY CARD issued by the Jurisdictional Deputy Commissioner / District Magistrate / Rehabilitation Commissioner, for the candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats under Jammu & Kashmiri Migrants quota.

Dear Student,

Yes, you can pursue BCA even after studying commerce in class 12th. Actually, the eligibility for BCA varies from college to college. Like some Universities make Mathematics or Computer Science as compulsory for getting admission. However, some Universities just need a minimum aggregate percentage in class 12th. There are students who are studying commerce with mathematics or commerce with computer science, they are eligible for giving entrance test of any University for BCA.
