I love writing. Why? Because I am not very great at expressing how I feel. So, since I was 17, I had developed this immense love for writing. And till today, it has been the best hobby for me; oh, wait, I did turn my passion into a profession as well. So yes, I am also professional writer now. I can write on almost any topic, in fact, in any genre. To date, I have written educational content, finance, travel, food, lifestyle, technical content, digital marketing content, and many more. But if you ask me, which genre I love writing for the most, it is educational content. There is so much you can learn, even when you write. And before you ask, academics have never really made me feel bored till the time I understood its value.
Till Class 10, I used to be an average student. But this changed from Class 11. Here’s a reason why. I did not score that great in Class 10, but my parents told everyone that I got good grades on my boards. Well, honestly, that wasn’t true. I know they said it so that I don’t feel bad. But at that moment, every appreciation felt pointless to me. I felt like I did not deserve it at all. This is when I promised myself that I would score better in Class 12.
Since Class 11, I became very dedicated to my studies. Also, I somewhere felt it was the best way to stay distracted from different problems in life. In the Class 12 boards, I topped in Journalism, and Mass Communication, and Computer Application. Besides, I stood among the top 10 in Sociology, English, and Hindi. However, I did not score well in ‘Education’. Thankfully, that was an optional subject for me. But I still wasn’t satisfied. I have completed my graduation in English from Shri Shikshayatan College, and my electives were Journalism and Mass Communication and Education. And guess what? I topped at Education this time. In Journalism, I came second in class. Then, I completed Journalism and Mass Communication at Jadavpur University. There also, my name was listed within the top 7.
All this while, I developed a huge fondness for education. Whenever people used to congratulate me, that time it felt genuine, it felt like I had finally earned it. There’s no lie behind it. And as I have already mentioned, I find studying to be the best distraction from any disturbing thoughts. All this pretty much summarizes why I am a content writer today and working for an ed-tech company. And needless to say, I love my job.
Even in my previous companies, I have learned so many things. Not only did I get introduced to different subjects, but I also got to learn about them. Some days, it was challenging, but I did find a way to tackle all those problems and get my work done.
Speaking about how I am personally, I am an ambivert. I enjoy the small joys of life, but I also get disheartened over small things. I like to keep things simple and make selective friends. I do tarot readings as well. I love to help people out when they feel low or confused. Many have said my words heal them, they can easily share all their problems with me without hesitating. Some say I am a woman of substance. They say the way I deal with things, not many people can do that. Although I don’t believe that is true, I surely feel that I can deal with any obstacle in my life with a smile on my face. Nothing can dampen my spirit, and I refuse to let it. I believe I am a bit philosophical and try to understand things from a deeper perspective. I am quite happy the way I am and I hope to remain the same throughout. I wish to be more confident than I am, and stronger than I believe I am. I want to grow more personally and professionally and work on all flaws and become a better person every day. Most importantly, I wish to inspire more people to take up their passion as their profession.
