Sakunth Kumar

Sakunth is currently Senior Content Manager at CollegeDekho and an expert in the fields of EngineeringArchitecture, B.EdAgriculture & Vocational education in India. He has been working as a Content Strategist with CollegeDekho since its inception in 2015 and has contributed immensely to providing information to students about Engineering, Architecture, Agriculture, IT and B.Ed admissions in IndiaSakunth is also pursuing a PhD in English Literature at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetam - Amaravati, currently (Jan 2026 to 2030). 

Sakunth holds a Bachelor's & Master's Degree in English Literature along with a B.Ed degree. An erstwhile educationist, when Sakunth is not only strategising Content theories, but also dabbles his hand with creating videos for his YouTube channel. Sakunth has also cleared the APTET exam in February 2024 and the CTET exam in December 2024, conducted for Teacher Eligibility. He is a qualified Teacher as well in English and Social subjects. His APTET score was 106 marks out of 150.

Over the years, Sakunth has gained expertise in marks vs percentile vs rank predictions for various entrance exams like AP EAMCET, TG EAMCET, POLYCET, JEE Main and other popular engineering exams. 

Sakunth Kumar completed his Bachelor’s degree (B.A) in English Literature from Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada followed by a Master’s degree (M.A) in English Literature from GITAM Deemed University – Centre for Distance Learning (CDL), Vizag. He also graduated B.Ed from Hindu College, Guntur in English & Social Methodology. At college, Sakunth participated in various national & state-level literary events and bagged 1st prize. 

Being a B.Ed graduate, Sakunth had almost 4 years of experience in teaching, specifically in High School. As a teacher, Sakunth knows and understands what exactly a student needs by the time he completes his Class 10 or 12. This observation and interest enabled him to involve in a different sector like CollegeDekho which help students to achieve their career aspirations.

So far, he authored 40 unpublished horror stories and working with an aim to make it to 50 so that he can publish a book.

In future, Sakunth wants to make an impact in the digital world by starting his own venture through which he provides good, innovative and meaningful content. At the same time, he wants to direct a horror film with unique content that never appeared on the Indian screen.

Sakunth always believes in hard work through which anything can be achieved in life. Ups and downs are common in life, and what we learn from achievements and mistakes is always important.
