List of B.Ed Specialisations

A B.Ed degree is a professional qualification that will help candidates to make a career in the teaching profession. After studying the B.Ed course for 2 years, the graduates can work as upper-primary or intermediate-level, secondary, and upper-secondary level teachers. Without having a B.Ed degree, it is not possible to teach in government or private schools. The eligibility requirements for a B.Ed course differ from one state to another as the admission process is different in each state of India. A candidate who is wondering how to become a teacher needs to be clear about the subject that they want to take up during the B.Ed admission process. Unlike other graduation courses, there are no separate specialisations in B Ed degrees. However, students have to choose a specific subject during the admission process in the stream they have graduated from.

Students from any state can apply for B.Ed admission, however, there are reservation criteria that need to be met. The students should have passed their undergraduate degree with 50% aggregate marks. Admission to the B.Ed course takes place either through merit or entrance examination based. It is mostly seen that the top B.Ed colleges in India prefer taking entrance exams for the B.Ed course admission.

The following article provides detailed information on the list of B.Ed specialisations in India including B.Ed subjects, colleges, courses, eligibility, and scope.
