The Department Of Mathematics, Girijananda Chowdhary Institute Of Management & Technology (GIMT), is organising a five-day workshop on higher secondary mathematics from June 20. The workshop is aimed to provide basic concepts of some important factors of mathematics to the students of higher secondary level. Teachers from IIT –Guwahati, AEC, GU etc. will be the resource persons at the workshop.
Mainly organised for the students of 11th and 12th standards of different schools and colleges in Guwahati, the workshop is expected to witness a large number of students interested in Mathematics and Maths faculty members. Students of institutions from outside Guwahati can also participate in the workshop. The accommodation will have to be arranged by themselves. Apart from the students of 11th and 12th standards, students who are studying B Tech degree or diploma courses can also participate in the workshop. The ones who have appeared in the 10th standard examination can also participate.
It is estimated that a maximum of 50 students will be allotted in the workshop. Selection will be done on first come first chance basis. No registration fee will be required for participation. Students can check the college website for more details. Venue will be the college auditorium.
