The first two phases of placement 2022 for IIM Ahmedabad ended on a high note. BCG, Accenture, Tata Administrative service came out as the biggest recruiters in the rounds. To find out about it in detail read below.
The first round of placements 2022 for the top B-school of the country, IIM Ahmedabad just concluded and like every year, this year was stellar in terms of placements. BCG (Boston Consulting Group) and Accenture Invest have been the biggest recruiters. BCG made 47 offers to the students and thus emerged as the largest recruiter in the first phase. Accenture Strategy came to the second spot with 32 offers provided to the students.
The finance firms offered jobs in the domain of investment banking, private equity, venture capital, and capital markets. In the financial sector, Goldman Sachs emerged as the company providing the highest offers at 7, American Express offered the second-highest roles in the financial sector hiring 5 students for different roles. The firms have been categorised into 6 heads - Investment Banking and Markets, Venture Capital and Asset Management, Management Consulting, Niche Consulting, Advisory Consulting, and Financial Advisory and Private Equity.

The companies involved in the first class were American Express, ARGA Investments, Arthur D Little, A&W Capital, BCG, Bain & Company, Sanford C Bernstein, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Citibank, Mckinsey, The Xander Group among others. The second cluster of placements is scheduled to be held on 11th February 2022 with IIM Ahmedabad releasing an audited report of placement figures as per guidelines
After the resounding success of the Cluster 1 placements, IIM Ahmedabad concluded its second cluster of placements for the PGP batch of 2022. As the first cluster, the companies coming up for the process were categorized into six cohorts namely advertising and media, Retail B2B & B2C, conglomerates, consumer goods and durables, consumer services, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare.
The FMCG, Consumer durable, and the consumer service saw offers from regular recruiters like P&G, HUL, ITC, Nestle, Reckitt Benckiser, Asian Paints, The Coca Cola Company. The offers from conglomerates were largely from the CK Birla Group, Adani Group, Aditya Birla Group, Emaar, and Tata Administrative Services. Other major recruiters included Amazon, Disney Star, Nykaa, Myntra, Pharmeasy, Sun Pharma. The highest number of offers came from the consumer goods and durables firm while the conglomerates came in as second.
The highest number of offers were made by the Tata Administrative Service domestically while Emaar made the highest number of international offers. The third cluster of placement is scheduled for the 14th of February 2022.
