Kakatiya University (KU), Warangal Registrar Prof K Purushotham has confirmed that the university is ranked 101 among 150 government universities in the latest ranking of Education World India Government University 2020-21. He said that the varsity received 741 points out of 1300 and has achieved 4th position in Telangana State.
According to the Registrar, the university was able to achieve ranking because of the university’s efficient faculty members, research, inventions, curriculum, pedagogy, faculty welfare and development, placement, basic amenities, and other parameters. He further said that KU has also been ranked in between 151-200 band in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF)’s rankings 2019.

EW India Government University Rankings 2020-21
The EW India Government University Rankings 2020-21 ranking is done based on the opinions from highly reputed Delhi-based market research and opinion polls company, Centre for Forecasting & Research Pvt. Ltd. 828 industry representatives in 25 cities countrywide, over 2,214 faculty and 1,126 final year students of 162 universities have given their opinions or responses with regard to the rankings.
National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF)
NIRF is launched by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India in 2015. It is a body that outlines methods to rank institutes in the countries based on various parameters like Teaching Learning and Resources, Research Professional Practice & Collaborative Performance, Graduation Outcome, Outreach & Inclusivity and Perception.
