Kusha Bhau Thakre University of Journalism and Mass Communication of Raipur, commonly known as KTUJM has signed a Memorandum of Understanding MOU with Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited BECIL (A Public Sector Undertaking) with an aim to develop TV Studio and Community Radio Station in the University.
KTUJM, the first “Media Gurukul” of India is committed to develop professionals with social values and National commitment. Its endeavor is to combine tradition with modernity, mission with professionalism and local perspective with global context. KTUJM upholds and enrich the glorious traditions of the Media World.
Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL) is a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) of the Government of India. BECIL provides broadcast engineering and information technology services in India. BECIL has provided consultancy services to such channels as Malayala Manorama and Times TV and counts among its clients media and broadcast companies such as Hindustan Times, Radio Mirchi, Star TV and Radio City.
The MOU has been signed between the Registrar of KTUJM, Dr.Girishkant Pandey and Assistant General Manager,Regional South office of BECIL, Smt.Usha Mangalgi at University Campus in the presence of Honourable Vice Chancellor of KTUJM, Dr.MS Parmar. Head of the Department of Electronic Media, Dr.Rajendra Mohanty also attended the MOU signing Ceremony.
Smt. Mangalgi gave all the details including presentation on Structure, function,the tentative budget and Timeline for construction of TV Studio and Community Radio Station.
All the Officials of KTUJM,teaching faculties and other staff of University were present at the time of signing the Memorandum of Understanding.
Members from BECIL visited the University Campus along with the proposed area of the campus where the set up will be done. The second floor of Multimedia block will the site for TV Studio and Community Radio Station.
Dr.MS Parmar expressed his gratitude to the the team of BECIL for the MOU and he said we are looking for a long term association with BECIL.This MOU is going to open the gates of good opportunities for the students of this Media Gurukul.
