Delhi University's Lady Shri Ram College will focus on Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the upcoming academic session. LSR is regarded as one of the top liberal art institutions in India. The college is not only known for its academics but offers tremendous job opportunities to the students. One of the LSR students bagged highest salary package in Delhi University with an annual package of Rs.37.8 lakh per annum.
In the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) the college stood at the 5th place and scored the highest points out of 1,000 colleges in the country.
Suman Sharma, LSR Principal said that she is proud of what all the college has achieved so far and from now on the college will focus on strengthening the innovation along with work on mental health issues and addressing the same. The college is planning to establish a wellness centre this year. The students can take breaks, meet counsellor to address their mental health issues, and meditate.
She further highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation. Apart from that LSR is one of the few non-technical colleges among 1000 institutes in the country chosen by the Ministry of Human Resource Development to establish an innovation cell. The college also performed very well in Delhi University's Idea Competition. 24 teams presented their idea during the competition, and out of the 10 teams that were shortlisted, three were from Lady Shri Ram College.
