A three-member NAAC peer team will be visiting the RG Baruah College Guwahati from May 24 to May 26 with regards to the second cycle of assessment and accredition of the institution.
The NAAC team will include Chairperson Professor Yogesh Kumar Sharma, Former Vice Chancellor of Singhania University and Former Dean, International School of Business Management, jaipur, Member Coordinator, Professsor Romesh Chand, Department of Education, Himachal Pradesh University and member Dr Pratibha S Gaikwad, Principal, Dhananjayrao, Gadgil College of Commerce, Maharashtra.
The team will be visiting different departments, and services of the college like library, computer division, health centre, hospital and also interact with the stakeholders. It will also have a thorough interaction with the Principal, faculty members, non-teaching staff, parents, students and the governing body members.
Radha Govinda Baruah College was established in 1978 with the noble objective of spreading the light of higher education amongst the students of Kalapahar - Fatasil locality, quite a number of who belong to economically backward families. The college was named after Xingha Purusa Radha Govinda Baruah whose contribution in the fields of newspaper industry, sports organization, and cultural activities, is unparalleled in Assam. He is known as the Architect of Modern Assam. It is essentially his ideals that the College aspires to follow.
