Odisha CHSE (12th) Physics Paper Pattern 2023: it is essential to understand the examination pattern when planning for any board examination, especially for a year as important as Class 12th. Knowing the question paper pattern provides candidates with knowledge of the question types that will appear in the paper as well as their marking scheme.  Students who follow the exam paper outline can strategize their studies in order to focus on certain questions that hold the highest weightage, thus having an upper hand during the examination.

As per CHSE Odisha 12th paper pattern 2023 for Physics, there will be two groups in the question paper, namely A and B. Group A will have two sub-questions while Group B will have five sub-questions, each with varying weightage. Group A is for 20 marks while Group B is for the rest 50 marks.

As shown in the table and in points below are the question paper patterns for Odisha 12th 2023 Physics:

Group A

• Question 1: It has 10 sub-questions, each carrying one mark. These are usually MCQ-type questions.
• Question 2: It too has 10 sub-questions of one mark each. These are Very Short Answer (VSA) type questions.

Group B

• Question 3: This question has 12 sub-questions, out of which any 10 are to be answered. Each question has a weightage of 2 marks and is classified as Short Answer Type-I (SA-I) question.
• Question 4: This question has 5 sub-questions, out of which any 3 are to be answered. Each question has a weightage of 3 marks and is classified as Short Answer Type-II (SA-II) question.
• Question 5 to 7: These are individual ‘OR’ type of questions wherein the candidate has to answer any of the two questions. Each question carried 7 marks and are classified as Long Answer (LA) questions.
