Osmania University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Telangana State Technology Services Limited (TSTS) AUA/KUA. The MoU will help to implement Aadhaar authentication for biometric attendance in the varsity. The university was facing a lot of attendance issues and they wanted to introduce a system which could keep a record of students' attendance.
As per the OU press release, the pact between the two is in accordance with the state government’s decision to introduce biometric attendance in the universities to streamline the attendance process.
Meanwhile, the university has signed a few more pacts. One of them is with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). The collaboration with CIMA will focus on strengthening academics in the varsity. B.Com (Hons.) students of the varsity will be offered CIMA qualification under a new Integrated Programme.

The third MoU was signed with the State Bank of India (SBI) Hyderabad to avail the benefit of SBI Fast. This will provide the varsity with an option of SBI e-payment, an online platform for salary and vendor payments.
Another MoU was signed with the NDML - NSDL Database Management Limited. The agreement with NDML will help OU award academic awards to its students through the NAD portal.
