Government Rajasthan colleges to conduct the monthly academic test without an invigilator or CCTV cameras in the classroom, Pradeep Kumar Borad, Commissioner, College Education Department confirmed about the same. In a letter addressed to all government colleges principles, he said that conducting monthly academic tests without an invigilator will not only assess the academic knowledge of the students but will also help to check their self-control and honesty. This will also boost their self-confidence.
Rajasthan College Education Department has recently come up with an Akashi calendar in government colleges to conduct exams for a year. In the same calendar, the monthly test has been introduced for government college students which will be conducted on 29th of every month.
Borad informed that on the day of the test, a teacher from the college will only come to distribute question papers and explain about the dual test to the students. In the dual test, one is testing the intellect of the students and the second is to test their honesty.
Also, the results of the monthly test will not be declared publicly. The results will be personally conveyed to the students unlike releasing it on the notice board. This is because the tendency to cheat among the student increases when they observe that they are getting fewer marks in comparison to other students. Therefore, not declaring the result publicly will solve this problem and will a good insight for the students.
