Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS) completes 25 years of quality education and exemplary administration. The event was celebrated at the Range Hills Road Campus on Wednesday, February 8.
Lt Gen Raymond Noronha, Chief of Staff, Southern Command, was the Chief Guest at the ceremony. He said that the institute’s journey is in itself a case study in leadership.

Other eminent personalities present at the event were first Director and Founding member of SIMS, Dr. Col A Balasubramanian; Founder & President of Symbiosis Society and Chancellor of Symbiosis International University (SIU); Dr Vidya Yeravdekar, Principal Director, Symbiosis Society and Vice-Chancellor of SIU, Rajani Gupte.
SIMS also released a coffee-table book on the occasion that talks about the journey of the institute.
Talking about the journey of the institute, Lt Gen Noronha said that institute has developed on valuable qualities like vision, faith, planning and implementation. He also said that the journey of development of the institute is inspiring and has improved the education opportunities for defence personnel and their dependents.

Dr. Mujumdar also spoke about the academic success of the institute and said that talked about the hurdles faced by SIMS in its journey to growth. Director of SIMS, Brig Rajiv Divekar (Retd.), said that SIMS has endeavored to grow as a management institute and currently has more than 8,000 alumni who are doing exceptionally well in their own spaces and are taking the name of the institute forward.
