JECRC University commenced its techno-cultural festival 'JU Rhythm' on March 2, 2017. The festival saw participation from renowned colleges across India including IITs, NITs and other popular state universities from Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and Gujrat.
Among the cultural and technical events conducted by JECRC on the first day were Band War, Robo War, Skit, Antakshari, Roadies, Slow Biking, Stand-up Comedy, Junkyard Wars, Go Cart and Mr. & Mrs. Rhythm. Students from various universities participated in the team-based as well as solo events.
Deepa Mordia, Chief Convener, talked about the event and said that JU Rhythm is an annual event, composed of technical as well as cultural events to engage students in co-curricular activities and bond with participating colleges. JECRC University aims to bring the academic fraternity together through the JU Rhythm festival, Mordia added.
Dr. Aditi R. Khandelwal, Jury member of the Skit and Street Play events shared her experience and said it is refreshing to experience the creative energy of students through such platforms. She also added that JU Rhythm 17 is a stage for students to showcase their academic talents and explore other skills.
Ms. Sanjna Dubey, Cultural Secretary said that the objective of the festival is to bring out the creativity of the students and provide exposure.
JU Rhythm’17 was inaugurated yesterday at the JECRC University Campus, Sitapura. The theme of the event is ‘Good over Evil’ and various events have been organized for students based on the theme. The festival will go on until March 4, 2017.
