Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) Telangana is set to revise the Intermediate (+2) syllabus. New topics such as GST, NITI Aayog, 15th Finance Commission and others will be added in the new syllabus for Intermediate courses in Telangana.
Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) Telangana is set to revise the syllabus for Intermediate (+2) courses. According to sources, new topics such as GST, 15th Finance Commission, NITI Aayog, Telangana History, Culture and Geography etc are likely to be added in the new syllabus, specifically for History, Commerce and Economics subjects. About 30-40% of the Intermediate syllabus is to change for the new academic year in Telangana. After the formation of Telangana in 2014, BIE has initiated the process for changing the syllabus.
The Board of Intermediate Education(BIE) has handed over the responsibility to a group of experts to revise the syllabus for the academic year 2019-2020. GST lesson will be included in Commerce and Economics while other subjects like the history of Telangana, Culture, and Geography would be in included combinedly in History.

Secretary of Board Intermediate Education, Dr. A. Ashok explained that students must be updated the latest change and development in the history of Telangana. He also mentioned that the syllabus for the languages of the first and second year of intermediate would be changed for the academic year 2020-21. According to the secretary of BIE, the syllabus of science subjects would be changed at par with the CBSE Class 11 & 12 syllabi.

The proposal to revise the syllabus was put up by BIE Telangana in 2016. The syllabus for science courses has to be revised as per CBSE standards so that students can shine in national-level entrance exams like JEE Main and NEET-UG.
