Tezpur University has extended the last date for online application form submission from June 30, 2020 due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Candidates seeking admission can apply online by visiting the official website of the university.
Tezpur University or TU has extended the last date for submission of online applications form amidst the outbreak of Coronavirus. The university has pushed the last date of filling the forms to June 30, 2020. The last date to apply for B.Tech is July 15, 2020.
TU, a premier central university, issued a statement stating that the dates have been prolonged keeping in view the nation-wide lockdown amid the spread of COVID-19. It has also postponed the date of the entrance exam which was scheduled to be held from May 29, 2020, to May 31, 2020. The revised dates for the entrance exam will be available in due course of time.
Furthermore, Tezpur University has provided relaxation to the candidates applying for admission to the various programmes ahead of the entrance exam of the university. As per the notification announced by the university, if an aspirant is yet to obtain the caste certificate including ST/SC/EWS/OBC(NCL) and other relevant certificates like Ward/PWD or PRC/Widows of Defence Personnel, he/she is granted the permission to submit an undertaking in the prescribed format signed by the university instead of the caste or other certificate during the submission of the online application form.

The controller of the examination at TU, L Boral, claims that due to the nation-wide lockdown, most of the offices are shut and no one is allowed to step out of the house. Therefore if a candidate is not in possession of the aforementioned certificates, he/she can submit the undertaking and complete the admission process of the Tezpur University.
However, the selected candidates will have to submit the relevant certificates at the time of the online counselling process and payment of fees. Tezpur University is taking these crucial steps so that no aspirant has to suffer from the lockdown, Boral clarified.
