CBSE Extends Last Date to Apply For Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship

CBSE hasextended the last date to apply for the Single Girl Child (SGC) Merit Scholarship. Earlier the last date to apply for the SGC Merit Scholarship was October 18 but now it has been extended to October 31. The last date to submit the hard copy of the application is November 25. The last date for renewal of online applications of CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child 10th Pass awarded in 2018 is also October 31.

The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has opened online applications for 2019 Class X pass outs (girls), who studied in schools affiliated to CBSE for scholarship schemes. The following are the two scholarship schemes for which CBSE is inviting online applications -

• Renewal of Online Applications – CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child Class X Pass Award 2018
• Fresh Applications – CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child Plus 2 Studies (2019)

CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship for Plus Two Studies Eligibility Criteria

The female candidates who are interested in availing the CBSE scholarship scheme must meet the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship for Plus Two Studies 2019. Here are the eligibility criteria that all aspirants must meet for availing the scholarship scheme.

• The female applicants must have more than 60 Percent or 6.2 CGPA in Class X exams 2019.
• These girls must have studied Class X in schools affiliated to CBSE.
• The tuition fees of the school in which the student studied must not exceed Rs. 1,500 per month.
• NRI (Non-Resident Indian) students can also register for the scholarship scheme, and the monthly fee of these students must not exceed Rs. 6,000 per month.
• While applying online, the students must keep their Class X Hall Ticket Number and Certificate Number ready. These applicants must enter these details in the application form.
• After the registration, take the printout of the application form (at least two copies).

Rate of Single Girl Child Scholarship for Plus Two Studies 2019

The rate of Single Girl Child Scholarship for Plus Two Studies 2019 that will be offered t the students will be ₹500 per month. CBSE will be paying the students the amount for a span of two years. All transactions will be done through ECS or NEFT.

Renewal of SGC Scholarship for Plus Two Studies 2019

Those candidates who are interested in renewing their scholarship scheme must ensure that they meet the required criteria. For the renewal of SGC Scholarship for Plus Two Studies 2019, the candidates must:

• Complete and Clear Class 11

• Candidates must obtain more than 50% aggregate score in the qualifying examinations

• Good Conduct and Attendance will also affect the renewal of the Scholarship of the candidate

Note:

• The renewal or continuation of the scholarship for those candidates who wish to change the subject or school will be dependent on the approval of the Board.

• Once the scholarship has been cancelled, renewal or re-application for the scholarship will not be entertained.

• Candidates who avail the scholarship will also be eligible for other scholarships or concessions offered by the school she is enrolled in.

How to Apply for Single Girl Child Scholarship for Plus Two Studies 2019

All the aspiring students who wish to avail the CBSE scholarship scheme will be able to apply online for the same. Here are the steps on how to apply for Single Girl Child Scholarship for Plus Two Studies 2019. Students must apply for the scholarship latest by the 18th of October 2019.

• Visit the Official Website of CBSE

• Under the “Links” Tab, Select the Other CBSE Links, Under which you will need to click on “Scholarships”

• You will be directed to a Page listing all the different CBSE scholarships available.

• Check for the link that says “ Guidelines and Application Forms/Apply Online”, which will direct you to another link.

• Fill in the required details such as the Candidate’s Roll Number and Date of Birth

• Carefully Enter all the details and submit the form.

• Write down the Registration Number that will be displayed on the screen which will be useful for future references.

• Upload the documents.

The candidates who are interested in renewing their Scholarship application will also be able to do so by 18th October 2019. The hardcopy of the application needs to reach “Assistant Secretary (Scholarship), CBSE Shiksha Kendra, 2 Community Centre, Preet Vihar, Delhi - 110092”, by 15th November 2019. The candidates must attach a printout of the online application form as well as the Documents in the envelope, with “Application for CBSE Merit Scholarship for SGC X (RENEWAL-2018)” written on the envelope.
