IBM and Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship have jointly launched ‘New Collar’ curriculum for the enrichment of quality education at Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). As a part of ‘New Collar’ curriculum, a two-year Advanced Technical Diploma course will be offered at ITIs. The new programme is co-created and designed by IBM as a part of its global commitment to producing industry-fit and job-ready workforce for New Collar careers.
The new course will train the students in next-generation skills that are necessary for New Collar careers. These skills play an important role in the firms where technical skills are more relevant rather than a college degree.
