JoSAA Counselling 2022 Round 5 Seat Allotment Link (Activated): Official Link to Check Admission Status

JoSAA Counselling 2022: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) released the JoSAA round 5 seat allotment on October 12, 2022, in online mode at josaa.nic.in. Candidates can use their login credentials like roll number & password to access the round 5 seat allotment result. After the allotment is released candidates will be given the option to pay the required fees, upload documents, and Initiation of withdrawal of seats or exit from the seat allocation process from October 12 to 14, 2022 (5:00 PM. The last date to respond to a query will be between October 12 to 15, 2022 (5:00 PM). 

Earlier the round 4 allotment was released on October 8, 2022. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) Counselling is the joint seat allocation process for admission to 114 Indian institutes. JoSAA Counselling is provided by JoSAA, a Ministry of Education-established institution that manages and regulates the counselling process.

Steps to Check JoSAA Counselling 2022 Round 5 Seat Allotment Result

Candidates can follow the instructions given below to check the round 5 seat allotment result. 

Step 1: Go to JoSAA 2022 official website at josaa.nic.in.

Step 2: Select the "View Seat Allotment Result Round 5" link on the homepage; You will be redirected to a new page

Step 3: Enter your JEE Main/ JEE Advanced 2022 application number, password, and security pin shown on screen

Step 4: Click on the "Login" button.

Step 5: The JoSAA 2022 seat allocation results will be shown on the screen.

Step 6: Download the allotment letter and take copies of it. 

Payment of Fees

Candidates who accept the assigned seat must pay the requisite seat acceptance fee either in online mode or offline mode. The JoSAA seat allotment fee can be paid using e-challan or SBI Net Banking. However, these fees will be deducted from the entry fees. 

What after the JoSAA 2022 Seat Allotment?

Once the allotment 5 results are released, candidates will have the following options:

• Freeze: If a candidate is content with his or her assigned seat and does not want to engage in any further JoSAA counselling 2022, it is best to choose the freeze option
• Float: If a candidate is satisfied with the JoSAA seat assigned in round 4 by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority but would want to be considered for other institutes in the following rounds of the JoSAA seat allocation, the float option should be used
• Slide: The candidate accepts the provided seat but is open to being accepted into a more desirable degree at the same institute
