The University of Mumbai awarded with ‘Best Use of Assisted Technologies’ at ScooNews Global Educators Fest (SGEF) which was held in Ananta, Udaipur. The University of Mumbai is recognized for its excellent usage of technology for its digital evaluation systems. The award was presented by Governor of Punjab and Administrator - UT Chandigarh, VP Singh Badnore and Mewar of Udaipur, Lakshyaraj Singh.
The varsity has always focused on quality education and holistic development. Vice-Chancellor, Mumbai University Dr. Suhas Pednekar informed that the university is always exploring new academic methodologies and developing new technologies. He also added that the award has strengthened their vision to accelerate nation-building with digitization.
Group President of Manipal Education and Medical Group, Subrat Mohanty said that it is a privilege of Manipal Group to collaborate with Mumbai University to offer technology solutions that will transform the way education is being delivered.
Mumbai University was the first one to adopt technology-based education which made a positive impact on the way assessment services are delivered. The On-Screen Marking Technology is provided by MeritTrac Services Pvt Ltd which is a Manipal Global Education Services company (MaGE). This technology helps in the error-free assessment of answer sheets and is much faster than the conventional way of checking the answer sheets. It also has enabled the students to quickly access the copies of their answer sheets.

This technology used by the University of Mumbai for evaluating answer sheets should be used by more university and colleges as it not only improves transparency and increases efficiency.
