After CBSE announced that Board Exam dates for Class 10 & Class 12 will not be changed on account of Assembly Elections, officials conducting the GATE 2017 have also confirmed that the exam dates for GATE 2017 will not be changed due to the upcoming Assembly Elections scheduled to be held from February 2017.
The poll dates in Punjab, Goa & Uttar Pradesh are coinciding with Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exam dates on February 4 & 5, 2017 and February 11 & 12, 2017 respectively.

GJ Chakrapani, GATE Chairperson has asked students to not worry and prepare and appear for their 2017 GATE exams as planned. Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee is organizing the GATE 2017 and has issued helpline for students to resolve any queries.
