TS SET 2018 to be Conducted on July 15: 65,000 Candidates to Appear

Osmania University is all set to conduct TS SET 2018 (Telangana State Eligibility Test) on July 15, 2018, at 109 exam centres across Telangana. After the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Osmania University is conducted TS SET for the second time. TS SET 2018 will be conducted in 29 subjects.

As per the official data of Osmania University, TS SET 2018 received 65,000 applications. Subject wise, Telugu has received the highest number of applications. This year, close to 8,000 candidates chose Telugu subject in TS SET.

TS SET 2018 New Exam Pattern:

This year, there are some changes in the exam pattern of TS SET 2018. Unlike the previous edition of TS SET, TS SET 2018 will have only Paper I and Paper II.

• The Paper I of TS SET 2018 will focus on teaching and research aptitude, divergent thinking, comprehension and reasoning ability.
• Paper II of TS SET 2018 will have questions based on the subject opted by the candidates.
• TS SET 2018 will be conducted for 300 marks, and the duration of the exam is 3 hours 15 minutes.
• The Paper I of TS SET 2018 will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, while Paper II of TS SET 2018 will take place from 11:15 AM to 1:15 PM.

TS SET 2018 New Marking Scheme and Reservation Policy:

Osmania University confirmed that only 6% of total candidates appearing for TS SET 2018 would get eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor. On the other hand, the total marks allocated to candidates will be based on the reservation policy of Government of Telangana instead of the Government of India.

Osmania University has made all the arrangements to capture the biometric details of examines at respective exam centres.

TS SET 2018 applicants must reach the exam centre by 8:30 AM. The candidates are not allowed to carry mobile phones or any other electronic devices/ gadgets into the exam hall.
