The registrations for UPSC Civil Services Main Examination 2017 commenced last week. Only those candidates who cleared UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2017 are eligible to fill Detailed Application Form (DAF) for UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam 2017. The deadline for filling Detailed Application Form is August 31, 2017. For filling DAF, the candidates must use their Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2017 roll number. Later, enter the password and Captcha. Fill all the details correctly, and submit the DAF by 6:00 PM on August 31, 2017. The official website of UPSC facilitates the process of filling Detailed Application Form.

UPSC Civil Services Main 2017 Examination will take place on October 28, 2017. The admit card for the same can be downloaded one or two weeks before the examination. (subject to availability by official sources)
Candidates preparing for UPSC Civil Services Main Exam 2017 must note that they need to give more emphasis to General Awareness and subject which they chose to appear for the exam. The candidates need to refer various books related to the topics that are covered under the syllabus of UPSC. The candidates need to have a clear insight on International issues at par with national happenings. There is a need to cater more time for preparation to qualify in UPSC Civil Services Main Exam 2017.

After the Main examination, the next stage is the Personal interview. The final selection will be made based on the candidate’s performance in preliminary exam, mains exam and personal interview. The dates for Personal Interview for Civil Services Mains exam have not been declared yet. In 2017, UPSC issued a notification to fill around 980 vacancies.
