CUSAT Part Time B.Tech Admissions 2017-18 Open, Register by August 4

CUSAT or Cochin University of Science and Technology has opened the admissions for part time B.Tech programme for the academic session of 2017-18. The part time B.Tech programme will be an advantage for working professionals in the field. CUSAT offers part time B.Tech programme in the following streams: -

• Mechanical Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Chemical Engineering

The online application process began on July 26, 2017, and the candidates can apply until August 4, 2017. The detailed admission notification of CUSAT Part time B.Tech programme is elaborated below.

Eligibility: -

• Diploma in Engineering with 50% of marks is the major eligibility norm for the applicants.
• The applicants must have permanent employment in their specific domain.
• The minimum work experience should be of two years.

The candidate must have technical work experience in the any of the following organisations: -

• Quasi-Government/ Government/ Private Unaided or Aided polytechnics and engineering colleges across the state.
• Industrial firm duly registered under Company Act.
• Quasi-Government Organisations
• Government Organisations

Application Procedure: -

• Eligible and interested candidates can now fill and submit the online application form on the official website of CUSAT.
• After submitting the application form, draw a Demand Draft of Rs. 1,000 (Rs. 500 for SC/ST) in favour of the Registrar, Cochin University of Science and Technology which should be payable at State Bank of India (Ernakulam).
• Candidates shall send the print out of application form along with DD to the prescribed address by Registered Post.

Selection Process: -

• The performance of candidates in Diploma in Engineering is the major criterion (50% weightage).
• The marks scored in the admission test are secondary (40% weightage).
• 10% weightage for the work experience.

• Deadline to send the printout of application form along with demand draft is August 7, 2017.
