IIIT Allahabad has released the dates and events list for its technical fest 'Aparoksha' for the year 2019. Several eminent personalities attending the fest.
The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad will commence with its techno-management fest from 28th March 2019. This IIIT Allahabad technofest is known as ‘Aparoksha’ is conducted every year at the institute’s Jhalwa campus.
The opening ceremony of this year’s Aparoksha will start in the evening from 6 p.m. in the main auditorium. It will be done in the presence of Professor P Nagabhushan, who is the Director of IIIT Allahabad. Performances of various renowned people will mark the beginning of this fest. Artists Bhanu Mendiratta and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya and the famous poet Rahat Indori will perform at the opening ceremony. The ‘Kavi Sammelan’ by Rahat Indori will be followed by Sanjeeta Bhattacharya’s musical performance.

The fest goes on for four days and its theme for this year is ‘Beyond The Wall’. It will be a great platform for students and technology enthusiasts to exhibit their technical prowess. The fest will be packed with innumerable technical and cultural events and performances by various artists.
The major events of Aparoksha ‘19 include ‘Hack in the North’, which is the biggest hackathon of North India that is held by students, coding events like ‘cfresh’, ‘alkhwarizm’, ‘codered’ and ‘humblefool cup’. The cybersecurity event ‘BOOT2Root’, the robotics events ‘Robowar’ and ‘TopBot’ and the design event ‘Nova’ are other interesting events. Different colleges from India participate in this fest including the IITs, NITs, and IIITs.
A popular event of Aparoksha ‘19 will be the open panel discussion, Confab. The topic of discussion this year is “How political parties use technology to influence the minds of voters”. Eminent personalities will be hosted at the panel discussion that will include Pankaj Pachauri, the CEO and Founder of Gonews and Rohit Chahal who is a media spokesperson. The youth wing of BJP will also grace the event.

TED-x is another famous event that is included by Aparoksha. The TED talks that are independently organised showcase speakers from several domains to address the audience.
The closing ceremony on 31st March will include the performance of the famous tabla player, Nikhil Paralikar and a comedy show by Zakir Khan.
