Seven Scholarships Waiting for Students in This Year
• Tata Innovation Fellow – Last date to Apply November 21- 2015
Applications are invited for the Tata Innovation Fellowship, a scheme instituted by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India to reward scientists with outstanding track records in biological sciences. Indian citizens between 18 to 55 years, holding a PhD degree are eligible.

• ONGC scholarships- Last date to Apply November 15 - 2015
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has announced award of 500 scholarships to meritorious SC/ST students worth Rs 48,000 per annum. Out of 500 scholarships, 50 per cent seats are reserved for women candidates (under 30 years). A student of first year of graduate engineering or MBBS courses or first year of masters degree are eligible.

• Junior research fellowship- Last date to Apply, September 15- 2015
The Department of Chemistry, Bangalore University has been sanctioned a DST-SERB project on computational studies on bimetallic nanoclusters. Candidates with a MSc degree with a mininum of 55 per cent are eligible to apply for one post of JRF/PF. Those who have passed the NET/SLET or GATE qualifying exams will be preferred.

• Chevening Scholarship- Last date to Apply 3rd November 2015
Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. The programme provides full or part funding for full-time courses at postgraduate level with a total number of 1,500 scholarship. Applications for Chevening Awards can only be submitted using the Chevening online application system.

• Bhavishya Jyoti scholarship- Last Date 19th September 2015.
To increase the employability NIIT Limited has announced Bhavishya Jyoti scholarship, for meritorious students. Students with 50 per cent in their 12th/graduation can apply for the scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded to the students on the basis of their performance in their XIIth board exams. The application forms for the scholarship are available online as well as at NIIT education centres across the country.

Certificate in life skills training is open to persons of all backgrounds to become certified trainers. Based on WHO’s guidelines, this six month part-time programme (separate weekend and weekday batches) gives practical skills development to work in schools, colleges and other institutions, or do freelance training work with young people.
