Chennai Institute of Technology has launched a catapult program for students to help them in a smooth transition from school to college. The course will focus on certain streams of engineering so that students become familiar with what lies ahead in the four years of coursework.
Chennai Institute of Technology (CIT) has designed a Catapult Program to ensure the successful transition of students from school to college. The name of the program is derived from the game catapult for shooting small stones. Likewise, the catapult program has been launched by the institute to ensure the smooth transition of students from school to college when successfully launched into a new environment. This program will not only help in the overall development of the students but will also ensure that students have a great learning experience in the four years at college.
The institute will have a full-fledged team of dedicated faculty members, industry experts and senior students of the institute guiding and helping the students through the Catapult Program.
Given below is the complete schedule for Catapult Program for different engineering streams. It will be a 15-day program and students will be introduced to the following subjects along with a project work.
For CSE Students:
- Computing & Communication Technology

- Artifical Gaming
- Introduction to Information
- Cloud Computing & Process Automation
- Gaming, VR & AR
For EEE Students:
- Introduction to Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- PLC Programming, Solar Power System, Wind Power System
- Video Presentation & Application Demonstration
- Variable Frequency Drive
- Boost Converter
- Invertor
