EFLU to Start a Consultancy Centre to Train Employees of Several Companies

The English and Foreign Languages University, commonly known as EFLU, will be establishing a consultancy centre that will cater to training representatives of several companies and organisations in foreign languages and English. The decision was made by the university because many companies and organisations that deal in international business have increased their demand for training their officers in proper English communication and pronunciation skills.

The Vice-Chancellor of EFLU, Professor E Suresh Kumar, said that the university is to open a consultancy centre soon as they are being approached by various companies for helping them in communication skills and written skills in English and some other foreign languages.

EFLU, which is a central university, is also planning to introduce free mobile applications that will pertain to English pronunciation and spoken English. These apps will give the general public an opportunity to improve their English pronunciation skills and oral communication skills as well.

The university is also going to undertake an initiative by introducing online international journals. Seven online international journals are to be launched as a part of enhancing the overall research output. They will be introduced with the guidance of foreign experts in the editorial board along with the concerned heads of the department (HODs) and the dean. This news was revealed by Professor Suresh as well.

EFLU had established a Centre for Translation and Interpretation Studies which has been evoking a good response. It is taking up projects that are related to translation into and from Hindi, English, and some foreign languages like Chinese, Arabic, German, French, Japanese, Italian, Persian, Korean, Spanish, and Russian.
