At least 219 students have been debarred from taking their final exams from Patna Women's College.
The Patna High court has the college administration to conduct a separate exam for the students who have reached certain criteria. The high court has directed that the students who have more than 60 % attendance should be allowed to take the exams.
It is noteworthy that more than 200 students had been stopped from taking their final exams from Patna Women’s College – Patna. The students had been stopped on the basis of different reasons, mainly being attendance, according to the PWC officials.
However, the students who had been backed by the student union movements had moved to the local high court in order to be able to take the papers as skipping the papers would have forced them lose one year of their studies, the exams being the annual, final exams.
The direction of the high court has brought relief to the students. The students who have had more than 60% attendance would now be allowed to take the papers. The results of the exam that has already been taken would be published along with the results of the special re-exam being taken. The papers would be taken within 15 days of the direction of the court.
