Marks of students who passed the IPE increased by 1-6 marks after the re-evaluation of the papers. Thus, Telangana BIE to introduce on-screen evaluation system from the next academic year.
The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education is planning to introduce an online checking which will be error-free. After the recent disaster in the checking of Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) papers, the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education decided to switch to online checking in 2020 Intermediate Public Examination.
The Telangana Public Examination was conducted in March this year. There were a lot of errors in the checking thus, the papers were rechecked several times. It was a shameful situation for the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education. The board in order to omit the repetition of this incident wants to take any possible preventions and measures.

This new system of checking will be applied in checking of papers of languages in the annual examination next year. Then, gradually this system will be applied in other subjects. Along with being error-free, the new system will also enable the Telangana Board to provide scanned copies of the corrected answer sheets to the students.
The new system actually is much simpler and faster than the conventional way. The answer scripts are scanned and digital copies of the answer scripts are made. The evaluators evaluate the digital copies on the screen. The total marks are calculated automatically by the computer and are stored against the hall ticket number of the candidate.
Telangana Board of Intermediate Education now has the on-screen checking system for people applying for there-check of the papers paying Rs 600. Students applying for the re-checking only receive the scanned copies. After this method becomes the standard method of correcting papers the chances of making errors will be completely gone.

Some of the universities of Telegana already adopted the on-screen evaluation system.
