The seat allotment for Telangana Integrated Common Entrance Test (TS ICET) 2016 has been concluded and 97% of MBA/MCA seats have been filled across various colleges of Telangana. The candidates who qualified TS ICET 2016 were allotted seats on September 12, 2016.
Mr. MV Reddy , Convener of the test said that a total number of 284 colleges out of 303 colleges secured 100% admissions. The candidates have to pay the fee on or before September 17 and report at the respective colleges on September 19, 2016. This year, a total number of 63,560 candidates have qualified the ICET examination. A total number of 30,540 students attended the counselling and got their certificates verified. Out of them, 28,958 students opted for the colleges through web counselling.

Currently, only seven MCA seats are vacant at private colleges, and 27 seats are vacant for MBA and 51 MCA seats are vacant at government colleges. This year, there has been a tremendous response to the MBA/MCA courses in the state. This year, the government of Telangana did not increase the fee for MBA/MCA courses. The fee structure which has been prevalent since 2013 will continue for the next three years.
This year, the government also implemented biometric attendance in the colleges and the students with 75% of attendance will have a chance to take examinations. Reimbursements will not be provided to the students who fail to maintain minimum attendance.
