Activities of Students Welfare, Grievance Handling Cell

Scholarship for Students

25 students from Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering were awarded scholarships from Leela Poonawala Foundation. Of which there were 18 girl students, 3 students from Persistant Foundation and four students from Cummins India Foundation for the academic session 2015 – 16.

Prerana - Personality Development Program for Girls

One day workshop “Prerana - Personality Development for Girls” was organised on March 8th, 2016 to create awareness and build confidence among girl students. The workshop was conducted by the Board of Student's Welfare Savitribai Phule Pune University. Chief Guest Shri SanjayKumar Dalwi (Director of Board of Student Welfare, SPPU). inaugurated the function. Several sessions were conducted on the topic of Crime against women, the law protecting Women's right, Yoga, Stress-management, and diet. The sessions were conducted by -

Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp for Students

Two days Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp was organised on 30th & 31st January 2016 to create the platform for students to gain in-depth entrepreneurial skills.Total 98 students have participated in this camp.The event was graced by Dr Diwakar Keskar, Director, Science and Technology Park.

The sessions were conducted by experts from different fields.

  • Mr K. G. Dekate (General Manager, District Industries Centre Pune),
  • Dr Rijwan Pinjari (Director, Acuitas Group)
  • Shri. Jagdish Kulkarni (Financial Consultant)

  • Mr Ravi Rathode (Program Coordinator)

Anti-Tobacco Campaign for students and faculty

Anti-Tobacco Campaign was conducted on 15th Sept 2015 to spread awareness about the ill and dangerous effects on health. Consumption of Tobacco leads to cancer.

The speakers who shared their views at the function were -

  • Mr. Tanaji Shinde (Deputy Commissioner)
  • Mr. Sanjay ( Present President of Rotary Club of Chinchwad)
  • Mr. Suresh Mehta (Medical Officer)

Swachha Bharat Abhiyan

Swachha Bharat Rally and Cleaning Program were organised at Pimpri Chinchwad College premise. More than 200 students of MCA, MBA, and engineering participated in this Social Initiative Program. The program was coordinated by Prof. Sopan Aghav and MCA students under the guidance of Prof. Anjana R. A. (HOD MCA). All faculty members and students had taken an oath of cleanliness. The same program was again organised on 3rd Feb 2015 at Akurdi Railway Station by MCA students. More than 250 students participated in the Social Initiative Program.

Karmveer Bhourao Patil Earn & Learn Scheme for the students.

The main objective of this scheme is to develop a student as a multifaceted personality with academic excellence and a commitment to the society. Total 32 (11 Girls and 21 Boys) are benefitted by this scheme. Students working under this scheme are paid an honorarium of Rs.30 per hour.
