Scheduled for December 10, 2024, the All India Law Entrance Test, commonly referred to as AILET, is an annual examination conducted by NLU Delhi. This test serves as the gateway for admission to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral law programs at NLU Delhi. Thousands of students appear for the law entrance exam every year which makes it quite a competitive entrance test. The National Law University, Delhi has made some changes in the AILET 2024 exam pattern. The AILET syllabus is now divided into 3 sections, English Language, Logical Reasoning, Current Affairs, and General Awareness. Although two sections have been removed from the exam, the aggregate marks remain the same and the sectional weightage has changed.

AILET 2024 PG Exam Pattern
Here is the information about the revised syllabus and examination format for AILET 2024 LL.M. Programme:
- The AILET 2024 LL.M. Programme has an updated syllabus.
- The LL.M. Programme entrance tests will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) exclusively.
- The test paper will include 100 MCQs, and each question carries a weight of 1 mark.
- All 100 MCQs will encompass various branches of Law.
- The examination will last for 120 minutes.
- AILET 2024 implements Negative Marking. The criteria for negative marking follow the formula 0.25*4=1, meaning that each incorrect answer results in a deduction of 0.25 marks. Thus, four wrong answers lead to a deduction of one (1) mark.
- In case of two or more candidates achieving the same marks in the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET), merit will be determined using the following criteria:
- Senior Age
- A computerized draw of lots
