Gautam Buddha University is spread across a sprawling 511-acre green campus in Greater Noida. Established in 2002, the university embarked on its academic journey in August 2008. Funded by the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA) and the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), GBU is a state-recognised university under the Uttar Pradesh Act (9) of 2002. The university is also recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under the UGC Act and is a proud member of the Association of Indian Universities.
Gautam Buddha University offers a wide array of academic programmes in the fields of engineering, humanities, social sciences, management and law. The university has received accreditation with a B+ Grade by NAAC and ISO 9001: 2008 certification from the Joint Accreditation System of Australia & New Zealand (JAS-ANZ). Auditorium: Gautam Buddha University has four school auditoriums, each with a seating capacity of approximately 300. There’s a central auditorium with a capacity of 2700 and is equipped with advanced audio-video systems. The campus building also includes three mid-size conference rooms, committee rooms, and multipurpose open areas.
Library:The Bodhisattva Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Library is the hub of academic and research activities at the university. It is fully automated with an RFID system and houses a vast collection of books and e-journals across various disciplines. The library, with a 2000-seat reading hall, aims to support the teaching and research objectives of the university communities.
Hostels:The university offers separate hostel accommodations for male and female students, with 5000 single-seated rooms and complete wifi coverage. Each hostel is equipped with a common room, T.V. room, reading room, internet room, indoor games room, gymnasium, and sports courts. Each room has an internet connection, and the hostels are supported by a solar energy system for hot water supply in winter.
Sports Facilities:The Eklavya Sports Complex, spread over approximately 47 acres, is equipped with state-of-the-art sports facilities, including an olympic size swimming pool, a practise track, and a world-class gymnasium. The university emphasises integrated physical and intellectual training to promote multi-dimensional growth among students.

Gautam Buddha University provides its students with valuable opportunities to gain practical experience through its internship programme. The university offers internships with a monthly stipend of INR 3,000, allowing students to earn while they learn. Upon completion of the internship, students receive a certificate, further enhancing their professional portfolio.
