The DU second cut-off admissions for UG courses closed on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Out of 56,000 seats offered by DU colleges, 26,291 seats have been filled so far. Most of the DU colleges have closed the admissions for popular courses. For instance, Shri Ram College of Commerce has closed down admissions for both its courses, i.e., Economics (Hons) and B.Com (Hons) for general category.
On the last day of DU second cut-off admissions, 4,003 students were granted admission in different courses. The total number of admissions on the last day was up by 1,000 than the previous day. The University of Delhiwill release the DU third cut-off on June 30, 2018.

Even though there are assumptions on the closure of admissions for popular courses, students are expecting the colleges to reopen the courses due to withdrawals. The authorities are expecting around 3,000 withdraws based on the previous year’s trends.
One of the popular colleges of DU, Hindu College, which closed admissions for nine courses in the DU first cut-off list, may close admissions for other courses as well. Botany (Hons) is the only course which was open for admission.
Seats will be available in English,Economics (Hons) and B.Com courses in Hindu College for the admissions under third cut-off list. The cut-off for Economics and B.Com (Hons) courses is likely to be reduced by one mark while English will witness a drop of three marks.

While the total number of admissions after the second cut-off list was 26,291, the number of cancellations was 3,203. Most cancellations of admission happened at Shyam Prasad Mukherji College, Daulat Ram College, Gargi College, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College and Ramjas College.
At Kamala Nehru College, admissions for several courses will remain open for the DU third cut-off list. However, the cut-off for these courses may come down by 0.25% or 1%.
Daulat Ram College, which closed admissions for popular courses, will open admission for vacant seats in other courses. The college is expected to maintain the same cut-off or lower it by 1%.
