Bachelor in Physiotherapy (BPT)

Diploma in Physiotherapy (DPT)

BPT is a 4.5 year long (including internship) bachelor’s degree the aspiring medical students can pursue.

Diploma in Physiotherapy is a 2-year long course that candidates can pursue after Class 10 (in some institutes) as well as Class 12.

Course Duration

The duration of BPT is 4 years after which, students are required to complete a 6-months internship. So, the total duration would be 4.5 Years.

The duration of the DPT programme is 2 years.

Course Fee

Depending on the institute, the fee can range from INR 1 LPA to INR 2.5 LPA.

As per the institute’s discretion, the fee can range from INR 10,000 per annum to INR 80,000 per annum.

  • Candidates are required to pass 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology (not PCM) as compulsory subjects.

  • The passing certificate must have been issued by a recognised board.

  • In some institutes, candidates who have passed Class 10 from a recognised board are considered eligible for the DPT course.

  • Some institutes require students to pass Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board to apply for the DPT course.
