CBSE Asks Delhi University to Align Admission Process With CBSE Schedule

The CBSE Board has written a letter to the Registrar of Delhi University after some confusion ensued regarding the revaluation schedule of CBSE and the effects it can possibly have on the undergraduate admission of the university. The Board has asked the Delhi University to align its admission process with the schedule that is fixed by the CBSE.

According to the dates that have been announced by the CBSE, its revaluation process will begin on 24th May 2019, Friday. As per reports, the Delhi University (also known as the University of Delhi) is all set to commence its admission process anytime now which is the reason why DU aspirants planning to apply for revaluation are tensed.

This year, the CBSE class 12th results were announced way ahead of the Board's schedule because of a Delhi High Court order that asked the Board to complete the process before the commencement of the undergraduate admissions. The CBSE Board announced the class 12th results within a span of 28 days, that was three weeks prior to the usual schedule. The class 12th exams of CBSE 2019 had begun on 15th February 2019 and ended on 3rd April 2019. The CBSE released its results before the ICSE board as well.

The commencement of board exams was also advanced by a fortnight this year.

The Board gave a statement in which it said that the CBSE will be finishing its re-evaluation process at the earliest and the Delhi University has to extend the last date for the submission of DU application forms in such a manner that the re-evaluation is done ahead of that.
