The HRD Ministry has released the new exam dates for the entrance exam, and it will be conducted from September 01 to 06, 2020. The number of Covid-19 cases in India has been increasing rapidly. On average, almost 60,000 cases are being recorded every day, and it is not safe to hold entrance exams at this juncture. Even though the government is set to take extensive social distancing measures during the exam, it may not be safe for the students and parents to travel to the exam centre and take the exam.

According to the sources, JEE Main April 2020 has been postponed due to Coronavirus scare, and the fresh schedule has been released. The government had no option except to delay JEE Main until July.
