Bihar (BCECE) PG Engineering Admission Counselling

Bihar PGEAC or Bihar Post Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling is conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competetive Examination Board (BCECEB) every year for those aspiring for M.Tech admission in institutions such as Nalanda College of Engineering (NCE) Chandi, Bhagalpur College of Engineering (BCE) Bhagalpur and Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology (MIT) Muzaffarpur. Through the Bihar PGEAC process, students can apply for admission into various M.Tech programmes which the aforementioned institutions have to offer. Admissions into the M.Tech courses offered at MIT Muzaffarpur, BCE Bhagalpur and NCE Chandi are given based on the previous qualifying exam marks obtained by the applicants. Bihar PGEAC 2021 Domicile Requirements

Applicants must be a permanent resident of India and also must fulfil either of the given domicile requirements to apply for Bihar PGEAC - 

  • The parents of the applicants must be permanent residents of Bihar or

  • The parents of the applicants must be registered refugees in Bihar or

  • The parents of the applicants are employed with the Government of Bihar or

  • The parents of the applicants are Central Government employees or are employed in any organization operated by the Central Government situated in Bihar or

  • The parents of the applicants are United Nations employees currently posted in Bihar or

  • Parents of the candidates who are the employee of govt of Bihar before reconstitution of Bihar state and most of them are still transferable in the Bihar or Jharkhand Govt

The online application form for the Bihar PGEAC counselling process is released on the official website of the Bihar Combined Entrance Competetive Examination Board (BCECEB). The step by step process to apply for Bihar PGEAC has been discussed below -

Click on the link -: bceceboard.bihar.gov.in and go to the official website of Bihar Combined Entrance Competetive Examination Board (BCECEB). Click on the “Register for Bihar PGEAC” link and enter basic details like name, email address and mobile number and click on the “Register” tab. You will next receive an email/SMS containing an “Activation Code”. Then click on the “Activate Your Account” link and enter your email address and activation code to activate the account. 

Fill Application Form

Click on the “Sign In” tab and enter your email address and password and then click on the “Submit” button. Fill in all the important details the application form asks for and then click on the “Save & Continue” tab

Upload Photo and Signature

Upload your recent scanned photograph and signature as per the specifications mentioned in the form and click on the “Save & Continue” tab

Provide Your Educational Details

You have to provide your previous academic scores as well as upload all the relevant scanned documents and then click on the “Save & Continue” button

Preview Your Application Form

You have to go through all the details you have provided in the Bihar PGEAC application form and change any detail you have entered mistake. After verifying all the details entered are correct, click on the “Confirm & Submit” tab after checking the “Self-Declaration” check box

Pay the Application Fee

Click on the “Proceed to Payment” tab at the end of the last step to submit the Bihar PGEAC application fee. You have to choose one of the available modes of application fee payment to submit the application fee

Bihar PGEAC Rank Card 2021

The BCECEB officials prepare two merit lists for the Bihar PGEAC admission process - a merit list based on the GATE exam scores and a merit list based on the qualifying exam scores obtained by the applicants. Based on the merit list prepared by the BCECEB officials, the shortlisted candidates are invited to take part in the counselling process. Any decision regarding the Bihar PGEAC merit list/s is taken by the BCECEB officials and the candidates cannot challenge the same.

  • The Bihar PGEAC counselling process is conducted in two phases

  • In Phase I of the counselling process, the GATE qualified candidates are allocated seats in their desired M.Tech programmes as per the merit list prepared by the BCECEB officials

  • In Phase II of the counselling process, the remaining seats (if any) are allocated to the candidates based on their previous qualifying exam scores

  • Passing Certificate / Marks Sheet / Admit Card of Matric / Equivalent Examination

  • Rank Card of PGEAC-2021

  • Original Gate Score Card (if applicable)

  • Passing Certificate / Marks Sheet of B.E. / B.Tech

  • Residence Certificate duly issued by concerned C.O

  • CGPA to Percentage Conversion Certificate by concerned Institution (if applicable)

  • Caste Certificate duly issued by Concerned C.O. of Permanent Residence
