Candidates need to be qualified in HSE of The Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination with Biology as a Compulsory Subject 

  • In case of a tie, applicants who got more marks in the compulsory main subject will get first consideration. 

  • If there is further tie, applicants’ marks in the compulsory subsidiary subjects and then marks in second subsidiary subjects will be counted.

  • Marks secured in English and the second language will be counted for the next tie-break.

  • And finally, general terms and conditions will be applied.

BVoc. Applied Microbiology and Forensic Science

Candidates qualified in HSE of The Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology are eligible for this course. 

BVoc. Broadcasting and Journalism

Applicants who passed HSE of The Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination can apply for this course. 

  • First preference will be given to those applicants who have scored more marks in the concerned optional subject.

  • For the next tie, scores in English and then the scores obtained in the second language will come under consideration.

  • Finally, as in the above courses, general conditions will be applied. 

BVoc. Logistics Management

  • Candidates qualified in HSE of The Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent and secured not less than 50% marks can apply for this course.

  • OBC/OEC candidates are eligible for 5% concession. 

  • ST/SC candidates need to have pass marks. 

  • If the scores of two applicants are in a tie,  then the candidate who passed the HSE or equivalent exam in commerce subjects will be preferred.

  • If the tie continues, the marks obtained in commerce subjects will be counted.

  • If there is still a tie, the marks in English and then the marks of the second language will be counted.

  • In the final stage, the general conditions will be applied. 

BVoc. Digital Film Production 

Students who passed HSE of The Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination are eligible for this course. 

  • Students securing more marks in the optional subject will get first top preference.

  • For the further tie, scores in English and then the scores obtained in the second language will come under consideration.

  • Finally, similar to other courses general conditions will be applied.

BVoc. Fashion Technology

Students who passed HSE of The Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination Students who passed HSE of The Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination are eligible for this course.

  • The students who passed with commerce subjects will get preference in the first tie-break. 

  • For the second tie, the marks in commerce subjects will be counted, and then like all the other courses the marks in English and the second language will be counted.

  • All the general conditions will be applied at the last stage of the procedure.  

BVoc. Fish Processing Technology

Applicants carrying a minimum of 45% of the total in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are eligible for this course. They need to be passed in HSE of The Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination. 

  • In case of a tie, applicants carrying more marks in the compulsory main subject will get first consideration.

  • For further tie, applicants’ marks in the compulsory subsidiary subjects and then marks in second subsidiary subjects will be counted. 

  • Marks secured in English and the second language will be counted if there is again a tie-break.

  • General conditions will be applied.

BVoc. Food Processing Technology

Students who passed in HSE of The Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination in Science and Mathematics can apply to this course.

BVoc. Food Science 

Students who passed in HSE of The Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination in Science and Mathematics can apply to this course.

  • In case of a tie, applicants carrying more marks in the compulsory main subject will get first consideration.

Applicants who are qualified in HSE of The Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination with science subjects are eligible for this course. As Geology is offered both in Science and Humanities streams, students of both the streams having Geology as an optional subject can apply. 

  • In case of a tie, candidates will be selected according to the following order- Candidates with Geology as the optional subject will get priority

  • Then the marks of Geology will be considered

  • Then the marks in Chemistry will be counted.

  • Then the marks obtained in Mathematics will be considered.

The University of Calicut has set up a different institute named the Institute of Engineering and Technology for its B.Tech. programs. Calicut University follows a Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for most of the UG and PG courses offered here. CAP allows only online procedures for application to different colleges under the University of Calicut. The application form will be available on the university’s official website. Given below is the step-by-step procedure of online application that every candidate has to follow for UG, PG, and other courses:-

Step 1: Visit the University’s official website https://admission.uoc.ac.in. Click on the registration link provided and create a CAP ID by clicking on the ‘New User (Create CAP ID)’. It will require basic information to create the ID. 

Step 2: A CAP ID and password will be sent to the registered mobile number. 

Step 3: By using the given CAP ID and password log in to your account and fill up the application form by providing all the required information. 

Step 4: Once the application form is filled up you will be directed to a payment gateway and pay your UG Course Fees by debit cards, credit cards, and other forms of net banking.

Step 5: After the payment of the fees a barcode/challan no will be given by email/SMS.

At the undergraduate level, Calicut University offers a variety of programmes in the fields of arts, science, engineering, law, and management, among others.
