This medical college offers courses in BSc nursing, MBBS across 9 specializations, DM in cardiology, MS in general surgery, and many more such medical courses. Batch Size:

In the MBBS program at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, the usual batch size falls within the range of 250-300 students. This relatively smaller batch size encourages closer engagement with professors, individual attention, and active participation in classroom discussions. While these aspects are beneficial, some students may feel a lack of the collaborative learning environment and peer interactions that are more prevalent in larger batches.

Our Take:

AIIMS Bhubaneswar provides a solid academic base with excellent faculty, a challenging curriculum, and modern facilities. The smaller batch size allows for personal attention and involvement, but it may lack the lively interaction found in larger groups. While there are research opportunities, concerns about limited specialization options and a potential focus on theory should be considered. The right choice depends on your learning preferences. If you thrive in smaller, interactive settings with close faculty involvement and value research exposure, AIIMS Bhubaneswar could be a great fit. However, if you prioritize a broader range of specialization options and a robust peer learning environment, you'll need to weigh these factors against the institute's strengths.

AIIMS Bhubaneswar’s Course Fees

The institute believes in offering maximum exposure to students which they achieved through internal collaborations. MBBS students enrolled in the ECFMG scheme can avail higher education in top-notch medical colleges in America. One of their upcoming projects is a satellite campus that aims to open better opportunities for medical aspirants.

Our Take:

The MBBS program at AIIMS Bhubaneswar stands out for its remarkably low fees, currently set at INR 5,856 for the entire course. This affordability makes it accessible to students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, aligning with AIIMS Bhubaneswar's commitment to inclusivity.

For MD/MS programs, fees vary based on the chosen speciality, ranging from around INR 1.05 lakh to INR 1.1 lakh for the entire course. AIIMS Bhubaneswar's fee structure is a notable strength. The extremely low MBBS fees position it as a beacon of accessibility in medical education, potentially offering opportunities to talented students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Compared to private institutions, our findings reveal significantly lower postgraduate fees, though they are slightly higher than those at established AIIMS institutes. This suggests that students pursuing MD/MS programs may need to plan their finances carefully.

Certain online comments suggest potential communication gaps between administration and students, indicating a need for improved information flow and student engagement. While basic administrative structures are covered in readily available information, more detailed reports or audits on resource allocation and management could enhance transparency.

In faculty reviews, there are mentions of demanding workloads and limited support systems, raising concerns about potential challenges in maintaining work-life balance. We believe that AIIMS Bhubaneswar's faculty qualifications align with those of other AIIMS institutes, indicating a commitment to top-tier academic leadership. However, the concerns about variations warrant program-specific comparisons with older AIIMS institutes known for established faculty strengths in specific departments. In evaluating AIIMS Bhubaneswar, factors such as faculty expertise, administrative efficiency, and leadership style should be considered alongside academic offerings, infrastructure, and overall campus life.

AIIMS Bhubaneswar: Expectation vs Reality CollegeDekho Verdict!

AIIMS Bhubaneswar presents a robust academic curriculum, distinguished faculty with research prowess, and contemporary facilities, portraying a high-quality educational environment. In comparison to private institutions, AIIMS, being publicly funded, offers substantially lower fees, making it an appealing choice for financially constrained students. The institute, with its diverse student population and expansive campus, seems poised for a vibrant community experience. The emphasis on increasing placement rates and industry collaborations instils confidence in prospective career paths post-graduation. However, some departments shine with exceptional faculty and research prospects, while student feedback hints at variations in quality among departments and professors, emphasizing the need for in-depth program-specific research.

Despite its modern infrastructure, reports of maintenance issues in older buildings and limited accessibility features for differently-abled students are echoed in student reviews. Although ongoing efforts aim at improvements, the existing gap remains to be completely addressed.
