NEET 2024 Physics: Know How to Approach the Subject

Physics may seem difficult for students who do not have clarity of the concepts behind it. Once the concept is clear, Physics can be fun to learn. What makes the subject difficult for the students is their approach. The majority of students try to get a grip of the concepts by solving questions whereas it should actually be the other way around. The focus should be on clearing the basic concepts, understanding the process of derivation, and then solving questions to assess how far you have come.

NEET 2024 Physics Exam Pattern

As per the NEET 2024 Exam Pattern, the Physics section is divided into two parts – Section A comprising 35 questions of 4 marks each, and Section B with 15 questions (of which 10 are to be attempted) carrying 4 marks each. That means the total marks allotted to Section A and Section B are 140 and 40, respectively.

The division and marking scheme of NEET Physics are tabulated below:

NEET 2024 Physics Study Plan: How to Prepare

The competition for NEET is rising every year. To crack the entrance and grab a seat in the Top MBBS Colleges in India, one must have the best strategy. This includes mastering the NEET Syllabus, formulating a smart study plan, revising thoroughly, getting acquainted with the exam pattern, solving papers and so on. Here, we have collated and brought you some useful NEET Preparation Tips by experts and toppers to get you the perfect score!

irst and foremost, acquaint yourself with the NEET syllabus to gain comprehensive knowledge of all chapters. Typically, the syllabus encompasses most chapters from your 11th and 12th Grades, eliminating the need for separate preparation. This leaves you with the opportunity to focus on additional chapters and topics for NEET 2024.

Go Through Quality Study Materials

NEET 2024 Study Materials play a pivotal role in exam preparation. In addition to your textbooks, explore other books and online resources to clarify concepts and acquire extra information on the topics. Consult suggestions from NEET toppers and teachers by delving into their interviews and tips. This offers insights into NEET study plans and strategies.

Formulate a Timetable

Creating a well-structured timetable is invaluable for NEET preparation. Incorporate your entire daily routine, starting from waking up until bedtime. Divide your day into hours and plan activities accordingly. For example, allocate 2-3 hours for revising a chapter requiring more attention, followed by the next 2 hours dedicated to solving practice papers based on questions from that specific chapter. This approach allows you to address your weaknesses effectively. Include break or playtime in your timetable to gauge the hours available for recreational activities.

Prepare Concise Notes

The most effective method for memorizing crucial topics, formulas, and laws of Physics is to maintain concise notes. While reading paragraphs from NCERT books, jot down essential points separately in a notepad and highlight them. This practice aids in better recollection during revision and saves time.

Practice Question Papers

One major concern for students appearing for NEET 2024 is the limitation of time. Candidates are to answer 180 questions in 3 hours, which is challenging. In such cases, time management is essential. Solving NEET sample papers and Previous Years’ Question Papers is a great way to improve our speed and accuracy. Not only does solving papers give you an idea of the difficulty level and probable questions in the NEET Exam, but also helps to speed up.

Focus on Your Weaknesses

It is not possible for all students to hold a strong grip on every subject or topic. Some may have a stronger base in one chapter and be weak in another. But that should not demotivate you or stray you from the path. Once you have analyzed your weak points, seek guidance from the experts, and work on improving the weaker sections. Instead of fearing the difficult chapters, allot more time to study them and keep practising dedicatedly.

Take Mock Tests Daily

Mock Tests for NEET Physics 2024 are a great way to assess how well prepared you are for the exam. The tests are designed in the same pattern as the actual NEET Exam, so you also get an idea about how to approach and navigate through the question paper. Besides, the questions have a time limit, so candidates need to be prompt when answering them. This improves speed. Lastly, one can get an idea of his/her preparation so far by evaluating the scores based on the online mock tests.

Take Scheduled Breaks

Preparing for NEET 2024 does not necessarily mean that candidates should go for marathon study sessions. Taking short breaks in between is also equally important to reset your mind and improve concentration. Go for a short walk, play a game, watch your favourite shows, or do whatever makes you content.

Prioritize Your Health

Students must not ignore their health amid NEET 2024 Preparation. Sufficient sleep, healthy eating habits, and a positive mindset – all these are essential for the candidate to ensure a healthy body and mind before the NEET 2024.

With these preparation tips and NEET 2024 Physics Study Plan, candidates stand a very good chance of scoring well above the cut-off marks and securing a good rank that will get them through the top medical institutes across the country.
