Important Instructions for Rajasthan PTET 2023

Rajasthan PTET (Pre Teacher Education Test) 2023 will be conducted on May 21, 2023. The conducting body of the examination is Govind Guru Tribal University, Banswara, Rajasthan. Rajasthan PTET is conducted for admission to the B.Ed programmes offered by different Teacher Training Institutes (B.Ed colleges) located in Rajasthan. The entrance examination is conducted every year for admission to the 2-year B.Ed course and 4-year B.Ed course.

Those candidates who have cleared their class 12 can study for the 4-year B.Ed course and candidates who have a Bachelor’s degree can study for the 2-year B.Ed course. PTET is a state-level education entrance exam for admission to 4-year BA B.Ed/ B.Sc B.Ed and 2-year B.Ed courses. By now, the students must have prepared for the examination as the examination is tomorrow. The PTET examination will be conducted from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. 

The admit card of Rajasthan PTET 2023 was released on May 16, 2023 for the 2-year and 4-year and B.Ed courses. The students can download the Rajasthan PTET 2023 admit card from the official website of PTET, ptetraj2023.com. 

The exam conducting body of Rajasthan PTET 2023 has shared some important instructions for the students who will appear for the PTET 2023 examination. The students must know all the guidelines before they sit for their PTET entrance exam. The article consists of all the important instructions mentioned by the conducting body.

Important Instructions for Rajasthan PTET 2023

Given below are the important instructions of the Rajasthan PTET 2023 entrance examination.

  • The student must check the seats and sit according to the allocated seat. After the student is seated in the allotted seat they cannot leave the seat before the examination ends. 
  • Some instructions will be given in the answer sheet, so the students are advised to read the instructions carefully before answering the questions. The correct answers can be marked by darkening the appropriate circle corresponding to the question with a black ballpoint pen only. 
  • Students will be given polybags when the exam time starts, they can open the polybag, take out the Question Booklet and start answering the questions. 
  • The candidates are not supposed to write anything on the Question Booklet. Other than marking the answers, students cannot write anything on the answer sheet as well. 
  • The students should ensure that they have correctly filled in the serial number of the Question Booklet on the answer sheet. Students must also check the roll number entered and only the correct answers have been marked. 
  • The number of pages in the Question Booklet must be intact, correct and exact in number and in proper order. 
  • The candidates must be alert with the Question Booklet. If any torn, blank or missing pages in the Question Booklet have been found, immediately report to the exam authority. After 20 minutes of starting the examination, the exam authority will not change or replace the Question Booklet. 
  • On the top of the Question Booklet, write the name, roll number and OMR answer sheet number and put your signature. 
  • The signatures must be done in the allocated places on the answer sheet.
  • A student can be checked anytime while the examination is going on to stop the use of unfair means in the examination hall.
  • If the student has any complaint regarding the question asked in the examination, it will not be entertained in the examination hall during the examination. The student can present the same in writing to the exam centre superintendent after the examination is over.

  • The students are not allowed to carry any electronic and communication devices like Cellphone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphones, Smartwatches, etc. 
  • Students will not be allowed to enter the examination hall with wallets, goggles, handbags or pouches. 
  • Students cannot carry any eatables in the examination hall.
  • Candidates cannot wear full sleeve clothes, ornaments, jewellery or shoes.
  • The students cannot exchange anything with other students.
  • Candidates are requested not to believe in rumours and not to spread rumours.

Why is Rajasthan PTET conducted?

Aspirants interested to pursue 4-Year BA B.Ed / B.Sc B.Ed or 2-Year B.Ed programmes from the participating Rajasthan universities/ colleges have to crack the Rajasthan PTET. Rajasthan PTET (Pre-Teacher Education Test) is only conducted in offline mode once a year. Candidates planning to take the exam should familiarise themselves with the significant details of the PTET exam, that are critical to rank well. Candidates who have passed class 12th can register for a 4-year B.Ed, and the candidates who have passed Bachelor's degree can register for a 2-year B.Ed course.

 

What is the exam pattern of Rajasthan PTET?

The Rajasthan PTET exam will be conducted for a total of 3 hours duration. The exam consists of 4 sections; Mental Ability, Teaching Attitude & Aptitude Test, General Awareness, and Language Proficiency (Hindi or English). There will be a total of 200 questions asked in the paper. The questions will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) types. The exam will be conducted for a total of 600 marks. The paper will be set both in English and Hindi except for the Language Proficiency Section.

The Rajasthan PTET syllabus includes topics like Reasoning, Imagination, Judgment & Decision Making, Creative Thinking, Generalization, Drawing Interfaces, Social Maturity, Leadership, Professional Commitment, Interpersonal Relations, Communication, Awareness, Current Affairs (National & International), Indian History & Culture, India & its Natural Resources, Great Indian Personalities (Past & Present), Environmental Awareness, Knowledge about Rajasthan, Vocabulary, Functional Grammar, Sentence Structures, Comprehension, etc.

 

What is the marks distribution for Rajasthan PTET?

The Rajasthan PTET 2023 exam consists of objective type questions where the candidates will be given 4 options for each question. Out of the 4 options, the candidates will have to choose the correct answer and mark it in the OMR sheet provided. For each correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded and there will be no negative marking in the paper. For an unattempted question also, there will be 0 marks granted.

How can candidates register for Rajasthan PTET counselling?

Only the candidates who have qualified for the exam will be eligible to register for the Rajasthan PTET counselling. To register for the counselling round, visit the official website and on the homepage, click on the link for “Rajasthan PTET Counselling”. Fill out the registration form using all the required information and click on the submit button. Candidates will be redirected to the payment gateway where they have to enter the payment details to pay the counselling fee. Download and save the registration form for future reference.

Is there reservation policy for Rajasthan PTET?

Yes, there is reservation policy for Rajasthan PTET. The Rajasthan Government has allocated few seats for each district based on population. The remaining seats will be accessible to candidates who are legitimate Rajasthan residents. Applicants from other states who are not bonafide residents of Rajasthan will be treated only in the General Category. Out of the total number of seats, not more than 5% will be filled by candidates from other states based on overall merit, provided that the merit of a candidate from outside Rajasthan is not less than the merit of the last candidate from Rajasthan in the general category.

National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped Hyderabad does not offer any certificate course in special education. They offer the following courses: B.Ed in Special Education (ID) and D.Ed in Special Education (IDD). The seat intake capacity is 33 and 35, respectively. There are no vacant seats for B.Ed course. Guru Nanak College of Education for Women is an Educational College. The primary programme provided by the college is a two-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme with a seat intake of fifty seats. It is a regular programme.
