Every year, National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts UGC NET exam for examining the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor or JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) & the Assistant professor. The exam is conducted in two sessions every year: one in July and another in December. This year, NTA is going to conduct the exam in June 2022. The application form is released on April 30, 2022.

4. Reading Comprehension

Meanwhile, the students need to keep in mind some of the important points related to UGC NET 2022 exam preparation to score well in the exam. Some of these points are:
Before starting your preparation study, prepare a time table as per your schedule and stick to it. Try to allot more time to the subjects you find more difficult and less time for the subjects which you have already studied.
Learn the exam pattern, markings scheme and important topics which you need to focus on for the exam.
Make a habit of practising previous years’ question papers and mock tests every day. This will help you increase your problem-solving speed and you will also be familiar with the nature of questions asked in the exam.

Are there changes in exam pattern and syllabus for UGC NET 2022?
Yes, the UGC NET 2022 exam will be now conducted for only two papers which was earlier conducted for 3 papers. However, there is no change in syllabus for these two papers.
Will both the papers contain similar questions for all the candidates?
No, while paper-I will be same for all the candidates. Paper-II will depend on the subject as chosen by the candidate.
Is there negative marking for an incorrect answer?
No, there is no negative marking.
Can I opt for attempting one paper among the two?
No, it is compulsory for the candidates to appear for both the papers to get qualified.
