Computer Applications and Computer Science Engineering graduates who wish to pursue their MCA studies from a reputed Kerala institution can apply for the Kerala MCA admission process. The Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology conducts an entrance examination for the eligible candidates and based on the entrance exam scores, the admission process is carried out. Kerala MCA Eligibility Criteria 2023

The detailed eligibility criteria for MCA admissions through an entrance exam conducted by The Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology in the state of Kerala are as follows - 

  • Applicants should possess a BCA/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Degree from any recognized university or institution OR

  • Applicants must possess a B.Sc./B.Com/BA degree from any recognized university or institution and must have studied Mathematics at the 10+2 level or Mathematical Sciences at the graduation level 

  • Applicants must have secured at least 50% overall aggregate score in their respective previous qualifying degree examinations 

  • Applicants from the reserved category can apply with an overall aggregate score of 45%

The applicants have to go to the official website of LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Kerala with the help of the link - www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in

And click on the link - MCA admission 2023. Then, they have to click on the “New Candidate” link for registration where they have to provide their basic personal details. After entering the details, the applicants have to click on the “Save and Proceed” button to conclude the registration process

Stage 2

Payment of Fee

The applicants have to submit the application form fee either via one of the online modes of payment available or through challan. After the payment of the application fee, the candidates will be provided with their registration ID and password (they have to choose) which they have to note down for the further stages of the application process

Stage 3

Filling Application Form

In this stage, the applicants have to fill up the online application form and upload the scanned copies of their documents, signature and photograph. Thereafter, the candidates have to proceed to the next stage

Stage 4

Final Confirmation and Application Form Printing

The candidates have to click on the “Preview” button to check if all the information entered by them are correct. Finally, they have to click on the self-declaration check box and submit their application forms. Then, they have to download a copy of the submitted application form for future use

The applicants must remember that they are supposed to upload scanned copies of the following documents along with their Kerala MCA admission application forms - 

  • S.S.L.C book or any other relevant record to prove date of birth

  • Degree certificate & mark lists of the qualifying examination (if passed)

  • Equivalence/Eligibility Certificate for candidates who have passed from universities outside Kerala 

  • Any certificate to prove nativity

  • Non-Creamy Layer Certificate for SEBC / OEC (if applicable) 

  • Community Certificate in support of SC/ST claim 

  • Inter-Caste marriage certificate in the prescribed format (if applicable) 

  • Certificate from the Medical Board for Persons with Disabilities 

  • Certificate from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon to the effect that the candidate is fit enough to undergo the M.C.A. Course (only for a candidate claiming PwD reservation seat) 

  • Income & Community Certificates in the prescribed format (if applicable) 

  • EWS Certificate issued by Village officer (Applicable to general community candidates, claiming EWS reservation) 

  • Any other documents mentioned in the Notification of the Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology

Kerala MCA Entrance Exam Admit Card 2023

The Kerala MCA admission entrance examination admit cards/hall tickets are issued against the name of successfully registered candidates on the official website of the LBS Centre for Science and Technology. Candidates can download their admit cards for the Kerala MCA admission entrance examination with the help of their registration ID and password. All the important details regarding the Kerala MCA admission entrance exam like the date, important instructions, venue, timing etc are mentioned on the admit card. Only those candidates who carry their admit cards are allowed to enter their respective examination halls. 

Kerala MCA Merit List 2023

The LBS Centre for Science and Technology releases a merit list based on the performance of the candidates in the preceding Kerala MCA admission entrance examination. The Kerala MCA admission merit list is released on the official website and candidates can check the same by clicking on the given link - www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in. Candidates having any issues regarding the merit list can approach the officials at LBS Centre for Science and Technology and get their issues resolved.

Kerala MCA Centralized Allotment Process 2023

Seats are allocated to the candidates via a Single Window System of Allotment in various Government/ Aided/ Private Self Financing Colleges/ Self Financing Colleges under Govt. Control offering MCA programme in the Kerala state. The seats are allocated to the candidates based on the -

  • Options exercised by the candidates

  • Rank obtained by the candidates

  • Reservation policy laid down by the officiating body

Kerala MCA seat allotment process or the Centralized Allotment Process is carried out by the Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology. Given below is the step by step Kerala MCA admission centralized allotment process or seat allotment process -

1. Registration

The candidates have to visit the official website through the link -www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in after the release of the merit list to register for the option-filling process. Only those candidates whose names appear in the merit list will be allowed to register for the option-filling process for the seat allotment process 

2. Option Filling

After the candidates successfully log in with their application number and password, they will find a list containing the name of all the participating colleges. The candidates have to select the colleges they desire to get into and enter an option number corresponding to the college name during this process. After entering all the options, the candidates have to save their choices and take a printout of the options form for future reference.

3. Option processing and allotment of seats

After the conclusion of the option registration process, the allotment list will be released on the official website of the LBS Centre for Science and Technology. The allotment memo released on the official website will contain details like the colleges allocated to the candidates and the fee to be remitted.

4. Fee Remittance 

Candidates who will be allocated seats have to take a copy of the allotment memo from the official website and deposit/remit INR 10,000/- through any of the available payment methods. After paying the fee, the candidates have to keep a copy of the receipt generated online which have to be produced during the time of admission.

5. Admission 

After paying the remittance fee, the candidates have to take admission into the allotted college as per the schedule published by the Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology. The candidates will also have the option to cancel or alter the priority of options after the conclusion of each round of allotment.

6. Reporting at College

Those candidates who will be allocated seats have to visit the head/principal of the institution within the prescribed time schedule with all the important documents to confirm their admission.
